I'm curious to hear how people with the snap out carpet that came on the '07's are liking how its holding up? My '06 has a lighter "burber" style carpet that looks awfully matted and seems tough to clean. From looking at the '07s it seemed that the carpet was a darker brown and was finer and not as prone to getting matted down. It looked more the Cobalt style of carpet.

I'm thinking of replacing mine. Dealer quoted me $450. Can you let me know if its showing signs of wear with heavy traffic? Is it easy to hose off?

My carpet is a bit matted but hasn't been vacuumed yet as I dont ahve a vaccumm at the camp. I plan to really clea it when we pull the boat for the winter. Im debating as to wether of not use it next year. It feels good on the feet but all the pine needles and stuff gets stuck around the edges.

Do not hose it off it takes days to dry. we got stuck in a down pour and it wasnt dry three days later. I took it out and dryed it on the dock.

I have no complaints about matting or difficulty with cleaning. +1 to the dry time, though. One weekend, I soaked the carpeting while cleaning the inside. In a week's time in dry storage with the boat uncovered, it still did not dry. I think it definitely should be removed for cleaning/drying.

Wow. I didn't think the drying time would be longer. Mine takes a day or so in the sun to dry so long as I have it on a slight grade to drain.

I have the light burber as well and it looks like crap. I plan to get the new style carpet over the winter. The color looks good and now it is a three piece design. As for cleaning the one I have now, I just throw it over the fence, hose it down, and let it sit in the sun for the day. I hope the new carpet holds up better.

We took a huge wake over the bow once (cruiser came through a tight marina entrance at flank speed just as we were pulling out; I've still got my eye out for that #$!#@$) so we had no choice but to take the carpet out and hose it down thoroughly. It took over a week to dry completely, in a hot, dry garage.

If you are serious about replacing the carpet, contact matworks.com directly. They have been doing the mats for Four Winns. They probably have the template and will be cheaper than the dealer.
