Well guys ( and gals if any are on here),

Some of you might have seen on another thread that I've got a "new" boat.

So as to avoid thread drift on the original post on which I mentioned that, which was not my intention at all, let's try to keep comments onto this one.

Its a 2009 278 Vista with a VP D4-300 diesel engine with around 7 engine hours on it. The supercharged, turbocharged EVC diesel engine seems of interest ! I can tell you the torque seems enormous !

It's not launched yet and I have few photos, but I will get a lot more.

Here's a taste

Wow that's a sharp looking boat, don't see to many red ones like that around.
Congrats.

I was nervous about it . Apparently, the wardens turn a "blind eye" towards boats owned by dealers at above the 10 knot speed limit if it's clearly a demonstration run. 28 knots above apparently results in a £1,500 + fine !

I've often wondered how you can test run on there. Nice boat Graham, good luck with the launch.

My apologies in advance, I tried merging the posts from the "other" topic into this one, and it appears comments got deleted. Back to moderator school for me

Love it!
In fact when I finally had my old '88 painted (the old red gelcoat was just shot) I had it done in that same color but in Imron...

There you go Ric. Some things to tidy up ( like the fishfinder cable, awaiting an extension cable)

But it will be underpowered, according to you....

The only cruiser that should have a small block is the 248 (350mag, 5.7gxi). Every other single engine cruiser above that should be only powered by the 8 liter big block. It shouldn't even be up for discussion.
