Astor Marina, I've slipped there last year. It's close to the Glen and rates are cheap.

Awesome party. :D

How many boats would I see on a Friday or Saturday in September (not holiday)?

It doesn't look much different during a normal weekend. That place is always jammin', kinda like Dissapearing Island.

Only two weeks away from my trip from Lake Monroe (Sanford, FL) up the St Johns. (The origin of this thread).
Boating up to the Welaka Lodge (Welaka, FL) to stay for a few days, and making outings from there.

I'm hoping this distance can be covered in about 4.5 hours, taking into consideration all the no wake zones. (no wake speed = 6 mph, cruise at 30-33mph)

I came across this site listing all the no-wake or idle-speed zones in Florida:
http://myfwc.com/media/1411232/RestrictedAreas68D-24.pdf
Oddly enough, Manatee zones are not shown, but they are often much longer than other safety zones.

Ric: Did you ever do the Lake Monroe to Silver Glen trip? How long did that take?
