I'm trying to figure out how to clean my steering wheel. Everything on my boat is nice and bright white or tan, and the wheel is half tan/black from mold in the hard plastic that isn't coming out. The steering wheel is like the center of attention and your attention is on how ugly it is.

I would like to clean it but bleach and scrubbing doesn't even touch it. Any ideas?

I have used "Restoration Technology - Marine Strip" on the badly stained vinyl seats on my previous boat, and it cleaned up mildew that seemed to be inside the vinyl. Very strong stuff. Treat with 303 Aerospace Protectant afterwards.

Yeah. Quite honestly I'm just going to pick up a can of $8 vinyl dye and call it a day.

I am about to do the same.. mine is soaked in deep.. i have contemplated a new wheel also. i see them on the bay from time to time for a deal..

I am doing more pricing of custom fitted boat covers.. I used a roll of Duct Tape last night repairing the 2 holes from the last storm in prep for a storm coming tonight.. it is a temp solution.. but a dry rotted 2 year old cheap cover does not have much life left in it.. i took a gamble on that cover. and it lasted longer than i have expected.. I guess it is time to spend real money on the proper cover..

Pulled the trigger on a new Sunbrella Gray custom fitted boat cover.. :D 10 year warranty.. happy and sad all at once.. didn't want to drop all that $$$ with baby on the way but you have to protect the investments.. same as you don't buy the walmart brand car seat just bc its the cheap option.. well that is not how i am.. i prefer a quality product that will last and i am willing to pay for a quality product..

Going to look at a house to buy. 4/2 with a pool in a golf course subdivision, less than a mile across the street from where i live now. Needs to be totally remodeled it's rough someone really neglected it. Asking 110k, worth 250 fixed.

Boat stuff? None. It's safely stored away in the marina. Fully operational and runs perfect. Needs to be buffed, maybe I'll do that Saturday. Oh, and dye the steering wheel.

Well the house needs total gutting drywall and all (no joke), but I'm not opposed to that. The pool is actually nice. You know me. I like modifying stuff. Going to throw out an offer of 60k this week with 40k contractor loan on top.

My plan would be to start from scratch and turn it into a 3/2 with bigger rooms and kitchen. Easily could sell it for close to 200k when totally redone. Beautiful neighborhood and yard.

It for sure 100% needs a roof.

Is this a flop or live in for you?

Look at the comps of a 3/2 vs a 4/2 value, the loss of a room may or may not brnnifit you all depends. Love the trees.

Work
Bought new deep freezer because mine crapped out on me 2 weeks ago. Spoiled around 50# vinosen, 40 quarts of gulf large shrimp (thump bauble bite dippers), 20 chicken breasts, 20-30# fish, tuna, mahi, flounder, trout. And ice cream. was not happy

Cracked beer
Mowed lawn
Crack another beer
Made this post
About to cut put a few knife blanks on the band saw and do some shaping.

Went and checked out another house, just got back. 3/2 with a nice yard and floorplan. Needs inside cosmetics (floors, paint, some wall repair, kitchen cabinets, etc). That's fine cause that's what I want to do anyways. Plus move some walls around, etc.

I want it. Realtor said an offer of 110 should get it. Filling out the paperwork tomorrow!

Absolute lunacy that you can buy a home for $100K in the USA!!!
You'd struggle to buy a 3 bedroom home in metropolitan Melbourne for under $500K! :x
Cost of living in general seems much lower over there...

Oh & I'm sitting in my company SUV, eating my lunch, laptop on knee, while wh0ring this forum!
