Sounds Like Insurance Fraud to Me! It looks like the owner wanted out of his 1989 Monterey! I am sure you will see more on this in the local CT papers! Please keep us posted is you see anything new on this story! If this guy is guilty, I would love to see him "Burn in Hell!"

That was my first thought. I would like to know what kind of mechanical problems he was having that made him late in getting there. Being burned to the waterline would make it knid of hard to investigate I would think. I will let you know more as I find out.
By the way, How was your season?
Sorry we couldnt meet up. Maybe next year.

Thanks Brian! We had and still are having a Great Season!! Put over 100 hours on the engine meter, but spent almost every weekend on it. Last night we went across the River with some friends for dinner overlooking the TZ Bridge and got back around 10pm. Mild Temps, Clear skies, and calm water made for a beautiful evening!

We did get a chance to meet "Barry Boats" while we were in Essex and we wound up going to the "Gris" Wine Bar for some Tapas and refreshement, and Great conversation. We had a Great time, and it was real nice to put a face to the name!

I assume you decided to keep your boat! I am happy that you did not act hastily to sell! As always, we still have our eyes on a larger Vista or maybe a real step up to the Nordic Tug, but in the meantime, we are absolutley Lovin our 268Vista!

Maybe we can get together over the winter at the Gris. We'll see if we can get Barry Boats and maybe a few other locals to meet up!

Best Regards,
Jim.
