Ok I took my boat into my marina to have the keelguard repaired\replaced. I left it there and told them no rush since I am not planning on boating until late next week. Now I am freakishly depressed not having it in the driveway. Never expected that (funny part is my wife is as well)

:?

Do you beach the boat? Why the keel guard?

Yes we beach all the time. I mostly run in a river\reservoir with depths that range from 2 to 10ft in the river parts. Many of our boat launches don't have docks either. You have to beach it to load and unload.

A keelguard is almost standard equipment.
