Here's how the boat looks now:

Here's how it could look with the vent graphics removed and and yellow removed from main graphics:

Here's how it could look with a solid vinyl band:

Opinions?

Just remember that removing graphics may impede top speed.
Add some checkered flags to it and enjoy the 5 MPH boost.

How about just removing the yellow and silver that is above the rub rail.

I like the solid blue band the least....that's why I ordered mine without any color band.

That being said, I'd leave yours as is.

Well. The graphics around the vent are going away at least. That's so cheesy.

I don't miss the quality!

Chap wiring in a FW hull would be a perfect boat

Out of curiosity....do you get any tail whip towing that rig. Sure seems like there's as much weight behind the wheels as in front? Is that original trailer and setup for the boat.

Colors..I would take off vent accents too. Those vents seem odd and look like after thoughts as it is. Sticker removal may help hide them....a little

I wouldn't change it. Definitely not the solid blue.

You keep bashing the FW wiring, but I have had zero trouble with my wiring, and my 1987 Chap had a helm that looked like it was wired by a third grader. Wiring throughout the hull was sloppy also. And there was no sign of any tinned wire in my Chap, except what I added later on.

I'm not saying your wrong, but it would be interesting to see what models & years were better or worse. From reading this forum, it seems like some of the Vista models/years did not have a clear plan (schematic) and left a lot up to the installer?

Your opinion of Chaparral's wiring can't be taken from a vessel that was built 27 years ago. It is well documented that Four Winns didn't get their act together til around 2009.

It's true, I don't have any apples to apples comparison. I just know that the wiring in my 14yo FW is a lot better than the wiring was in my 27yo Chaparral. So what year did Chaparral improve their wiring?
