Bonus shot: Hanging out at my ex's house in Miami Beach last weekend. I'm trying to convince her to buy a boat lift.

Screw you

We lost power on Saturday night, got it back Monday afternoon at 4 PM. Here is what the trees are covered in

So much ice snapped branches and took out the power lines

Hey Wayne, Ive been seeing it on the news. We got it here too but power stayed on. I had the generator on the runway ready to go. If it happens again, you're more than welcome to hang here bud.

I think its mostly resolved in my neck of the woods. Lots of people are going to be without power on Christmas though.

Dang...its in the 40s at night here and if we lost power I would be driving somewhere. We aren't setup for the cold at all. Now it could be 100plus and the breeze would be see us through.

We really miss our home in Grant this time of year. But you can have your summers down there, they suck.

What are the typical Late Dec Florida temperatures, land, sea and sun/clouds? Trying to convince family for next Xmas to make the trip. Purpose is sun and pool life...and of course, I wouldnt mind renting a boat...but that would be nice to have, not need.

"Typical" Christmas in Coastal South Florida is 60's to 70's at night and high 70's day, mostly sunny. Sometimes Highs in the 80's. But once in a while a strong cold front makes it down here and could have weather in the 40's or 50's. I would say the odds of a warm Christmas are better than 75%. Sea temperatures are swim-able year round, especially for "snow birds" (aka visitors from up north)

Come on down :D

Here in Orlando we have a 20 degree temperature split. If it's 50's at night, 70's during the day. 60's at night, 80's during the day. Etc.

On average it's mid 70's, sometimes a day or two of 80's. When the random cold front comes through it can be cold (to us) but it only lasts a day.

Example, cold front tomorrow but it will touch 80's for Funday Sunday.
