Hi Guys,

I know I'm pretty new here, but had a suggestion and was wondering how everyone feels about it.

In a previous life, I was very into off roading and "Jeeping". On our boards, there were regional areas where people could organize outings and gatherings locally.

How does everyone feel about this? I've been searching for a board that allows for this. None of them do, but this one seems to be the closest to one that would.

Cheers,

Russ

Great idea in theory, hard to make happen in practice though. There are several posters here who meet up on the regular, mostly in Michigan I think. One obstacle is the distance between water that most of us live. With Jeeps, its "lets all drive to X", but with boats there is a lot more logistics that go into a meet-up.

Sounds like a good idea, but I know for me there is only one other member in my town. Other South Florida members are 75 to 200 miles away. This forum is worldwide (throughout the English speaking countries), so we are pretty spread out.

But by all means, start a thread in the Boating Banter section called "Boat meet-ups near Vancouver BC" or something like that and see if it works for you.
