Hi all,
I have a 1993 FourWinns and I love the design and the layout. I have had all sorts of boats from pontoons to deckboats. This one is the best of both worlds in my opinion. Except for the horrible short ladder. haha Anyway my question is this. Anytime I am looking for parts , pics, or have questions about my Candia I can never find it in any list. Even on this forum there isnt a 190 Candia listing. Is this craft known by another name?

Yeah, "discontinued"... Actually, it became the Funship.

You must understand with a boat model that's 20+ years old, it's been "mothballed" from the fleet. It's years beyond the point where parts are kept in stock for that particular model. If you need something old check eBay or you'll have to have to buy modern equivalent pieces and modify the boat to fit them.

Thanks. I know it was discontinued. I'm just trying to understand why it's not referenced anywhere and how long the 190 Candia was produced.

It looks like 1993 was the only year it was made.

Oh fantastic. No wonder I can't find anything. The boat design is awesome. Can't believe they only made that year. Oh well....

Oh, no the Candia name has been around from the 1980's and discontinued in 1999. You never heard of it cause the Candia even though was an EXTREMELY useful design, it had the styling and looks that rivaled a dog's reproductive organs. Seriously though, the boat looks like it was put in a car crusher that went about halfway down.

The beautiful and sexy Funship we know and love arrived on the scene in late 2001.

The 190 Candia was only made in 1993.

Ric you really need to read and comprehend what is being asked before you jump in and try to prove how knowledgeable you are because you continue to fail miserably.

See he specifically asked about the 190, not about the complete Candia line.

Thanks everyone. I really don't feel like 190 is ugly at all. Can't figure out the potable water and sink on it but other than that I think it looks stylish. I always get compliments on how it looks. Maybe the 190 was a good model. Haha either way it is hard to find anything about that model. Thanks for the advise on where to look. Now If I could just figure out the wiring on this thing I will be in business. Hah

If you go back on that site and look around the wiring diagrams are on there too. Hard to read though.

OK dadtodc: Since you probably have the only 190 Candia on this forum... We need pictures! :D

Hints for posting photos:
They must be hosted on another site (such as photobucket or similar)
They must be no larger than 1080 pixels wide and 768 tall
Use the IMG button and put the link in-between (IMG) and (/IMG)
...but square brackets [ ] not ( )

That is not really true.

It was called the 180 Candia from 1988-1992. It was called the 190 Candia in 1993 and then the 194 Candia in 1994. 1995 it was dropped and the evolution of the deckboat was underway.

It was the same basic boat (hull and deck molds) from 1988-1994 with a couple different names and updates along the way. It seems to have come along with the complete model line revamp when OMC took ownership of FW.
