We are getting a late start over here on the west side of Michigan. Went out of Grand Haven last night for a sunset cruise. We went upriver for a little while hoping Lake Michigan would lay down. It had four foot rollers. My wife is not a fan of that.

We had one of the best sunsets I have ever seen.

Hope all of you are doing well and have gotten some boat time in this season!

As were were idling west into the waves the Coast Guard helicopter circled a few times. When we turned to head in for the night the CG was headed out in one of the big aluminum badass boats with a full crew. I can only assume they were headed out for night exercises.

Congrats on getting out! We finally got the bottom wet Sunday night out of Port Sheldon. Had 2 footers in the big lake, so we anchored in Port Sheldon for dinner. Had fun riding the waves though!

Looks like you had a nice first day.

Our first time out was a month ago but you are not that far behind us. Due to weather, work and family stuff we have only been out 4 times this past month.

We had hit up a local lake out by Grattan so not officially our first day out but I consider the big water the official start every year!

Unfortunately, between my middle child winning a third straight golf state championship (I could only dream of such a thing) and an upcoming HS graduation party, I haven't even seen the boat since January. With a little luck we'll splash it over July Fourth weekend. It's been a fun spring so I can't complain too much but I do miss being out on the water...
