I looked at the V378, and even the V358 several times but we decided to keep our boat. We bought a place on shadow lake in the kawarthas (not on the Trent Severn Waterway), but easy access to Balsam lake. Kids are young and just getting into water sports, so a big cruiser would just not be right for the family. Winter Sux should know where shadow lake is. The best part is there is a garage for my boat for winter storage ![]() Summer House Quiet Bay Garage |

Beautiful, I think the summer home is a better investment. |

Congratulations, we made a similar decision about 5 years ago. We purchased a small condo to keep maintenance down, it is not nearly as beautiful as your new place. |

Thanks guys, the place is about 1 1/2 hours away from out home, so it should get good use. I'll be looking at getting the OE stainless tower installed. Hopefully Sushi pops in here one in a while so I can pick his brains again |

Is balsam lake accessible down the river to shadow or are dams and depth an issue? |

I can make it all the way to Coboconk, but there is a damn there, so you cannot make it into Balsam. There is a boat launch in Coboconk, and that is just 12 minutes away if I had to trailer it and launch it there. |

The solution is simple, you need a 2nd boat for the summer home. Maybe some jet ski's too. |

Its the highest lake in the chain going down to Trenton. Rick, we will probably get some more toys but right now, the bank account is draaaaained! |
