What can i put on it to prevent it from getting bigger and to keep water out.. super glue? any ideas? sorry for something so tiny and silly but I'm abit OCD when it comes to the boat.. I love having it spotless and looking new.. lol |

I bought one of these for a small tear in my back seat. Haven't gotten around to using it yet though. Keep forgetting as the tear is not in a conspicuous spot. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CE ... detailpage |

+1 on the Tear-Aid. I had the same problem on my 96, there was a small nick in one of the seats where it bends around the seat base and there was an "oops" mark on the gunnel vinyl upholstery from the previous owner which coincidentally lines up with the Bimini support pole when you try and lower the top alone... I used the Tear-Aid on both spots and they're hardly noticeable. Like anything adhesive, results are ALL in the prep work. Having my own case of severe OCD, this was no problem. After prepping the area, I put small patches over the tears. The sheets come square, but I cut them round to minimize the chance of a corner being lifted up. After setting up in the sun for a few hours both spots are as good as new, the clear patches are not going anywhere and are firmly affixed. |
