I was looking and I don't see any of the Yeti coolers that will fit in the cockpit opening on my 2007 278 Vista.
Has anyone figured out a good cooler that will fit in the opening?

Thanks

Looking for a solution as well, the igloo just doesn't cut it anymore, the opening really limits your choices. Anyone find a good replacement?

It’s not as good as the yeti, but Walmart has a soft sided ozark trail cooler that fits pretty well

A family member has a Yeti cooler, two actually, that he brings fully stocked when we go camping for several days at a time.

Lets just say we have never had to buy more ice.

I own A yeti 45 and 50 (Tundra) and 40 bag, love them all. I hate the hassle of buying ice repeatedly on a weekend. It’s convenience. The yeti 45 works good on my 268 Vista. With a small mod, it sits perfect in the cooler space

Chris, can I ask what the "small mod" consists of?

The lip, on the outside of the shelf is in the way. If i remember correctly, i flipped it 180 degrees. I made it so the top is flat with the shelf, and the bottom has a little foot to sit on the carpet, moved the snap so it can still be snapped in the up position.

The lid is a little tight to open in place, so I pull The T-Rex straps on the lid forward enough to open the lid, while the cooler is at an angle.... then when the door is open, it keeps the bungees from pulling the cooler back in, and shutting the lid. It’s fun to watch others try to get in it

Dont think the yeti 45 will fit. The 2007 278 has an opening below the sink the top of opening slants down to the back. Think it’s 24x14x14h at the back, will have to remember to measure it this weekend. Anything taller than 14” may protrude out the front. Looking for the biggest thick walled cooler I can fit in there. See a 40qt Giantex on Amazon cheap that might fit. Hoping to hold 24 bottles.

My 2007 278 opening will accept 25wide x 13deep x 13high at the back. Any larger than that and it will not fit.
I have looked and looked. There is nothing that will hold any real amount of stuff in a hard side.
I guess I am going to eventually buy a soft side.

For now, I use 2 of the hot/cold bags from Walmart for 99cents each to put the ice in (one inside the other for double insulation) and then place in the original cooler. Will keep ice for 2 days.
I also found out that the original cooler is insulated in the sides. The top is hollow.
