So we just bought our dream boat. A 2002 Regal 3880 flybridge. It has everything we wanted and more so we are moving out of the Four Winns family. I will still hang around on here since the Regal forum seems to be much smaller and hope to keep contributing.
The Four Winns V258 was a great boat and will miss her but she got too small for our family. Kids grew faster than I expected.

Thanks!
It was an extremely difficult purchase. Its a terrible process to buy a boat but we got it and we took an incredible ride from the Hudson river through NYC, through Long Island Sound, and up the CT river. I have an elapsed time video below my friend took and posted. The middle gets a little boring through the sound but the beginning and end came out great. A 9.5 hour trip in 5 minutes.
We fell in love with the layout. It has V-Drives making the cabin cavernous.

I've never attached pics before so I hope this works.

Beautiful boat. I can't imagine how big New York is, loved the video, especially the first couple minutes with all the large buildings and the Statue of Liberty. Enjoy your new ride!

I like the video. I would liked to head up the Hudson from LI Sound some time. You passed by my home marina in Guilford and my many favorite spots in the CT River. I looked at a 268 Vista in your marina years ago. Good luck with the new boat. Maybe Ill see you in Hamburg Cove next season!

It was a cruise of a lifetime. NYC is strange as there are no, no wake zones and the huge ferrys, which are everywhere, throw some large wakes. It would have been a much different ride in the 258. I would love to do it again and spend some time there but it is a pricey trip.

Shoot me a pm next season. Our Marina has a shared mooring in Hamburg cove so we are there all the time. It's one of the first moorings.
I grew up in Branford so I am familiar with the Guilford area. I hear there are a lot of seals in the area now. I have never seen one until this year.
