Lol one is never enough. I grew up with the original muscle cars (1965-1972 or so)…I'd love to have a rear drive muscle car with a manual trans even though the 8 speed ZF in the Challenger/Charger no doubt shifts faster. While I love boating, doing it here means you have a boat on a salt water mooring. Which means, constant work, bottom paint, no more I/Os, just too much maintenance with them. Trailering here is out of the question because of the traffic and inconsiderate drivers. Marinas, are super expensive. We'll see how this season goes but I can see myself getting out of it for a few years.

Well Lou, seems like we are going through the same thought process. Boat unused last season due to total wipeout of our marina, likely to be the same this season. The boat is becoming an expensive drain on our finances with no pleasure returns. Plan is, 2020 get it launched and sold I'm afraid.

Cars are becoming more attractive and easier (have just bought a MGF TF; mistake, but it cost less than pair of duoprops!). Cars I owned are now unaffordable as far as sensible money is concerned, like the ford Escort Mexico and RS2000 cars I had. I could never justify paying £25,000 for one !

Daily car a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar, my wife's car is a 2012 Mazda 3 2.2 185 diesel, we'll probably buy a Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible as a hobby car.

Here in the US as far as English cars I always liked the Triumph TR-6 and the V8 versions of the Sunbeam Tiger and MGB. The Tiger used the Ford 260 V8 and I think the MGB used the Buick/Rover aluminum V8.

I do love boating but the hassles that are inherent in it, as a salt water boater and pushing me to an outboard boat if I stay with it. I just cannot do it to myself again, to maintain an I/O here. I'll keep this one as long as it makes sense but after that, big decision time. We have a little Suzuki portable OB for one of our Walker Bays and its just such a pleasure. Minimal maintenance, no headaches.

I like the new Four Winns HD 200 outboard, I will probably check it out at the Nassau County boat show, over at the Coliseum, former site of the hallowed Mitchel Air Force Base (Hempstead Plains Long Island NY).

this pic has the old runways superimposed on a modern google maps picture of what is now Hofstra University (mine, my wife's and son's alma mater) Nassau Community College and the Coliseum. Every time I go over there, its as if you listen in the distance you can still hear the ghosts of Pratt & Whitney 2800s warming up in the distance.....
