It is now official. We have put the house up for sale and we are moving to Florida. I hope to be down there in 3 months. We are planning on living in Palm Beach County and putting the boat somewhere between there and Ft Lauderdale. Anyone have any commentary about East coast Florida boating, Florida boat insurance, marinas, and boat transportation. I am so happy to be able to boat all year. |

My wife and I just returned yesterday from a trip to Naples and Key West. I envy you; our retirement plan is to be down there too!!! The weather was there and I wish I was too. Best of luck on the move!!!! |

Seeing BeachBob's Portland, CT location, made me think that maybe all of us in the immediate area should plan to get together (probably will be too early for the boat) at the Gris' with our wives or significant others or whatever, with "BarryBoats and The Admiral" before he and his wife head south! There's at least 6 of us that I can think of off the top of my head w/o going thru the member list? Last year "Barry Boats" and I met up while I was at the Essex Island Marina, and we had a great time! What do you Guy's think? |

Great Idea !! The wife and I could use a break from packing and keeping the house clean for showings. I am off most weekends, let me know when ? I think I have found a great marina. Lighthouse Point Marina near Boca. Tomorrow I need to call around to find boat insurance . |

I trailer so cannot help you on Marina's -- but I do know all about the areas to boat around here.
