I love projects! I'm looking at building a stand to support the lower unit when I'm doing maintenance items. Looking for ideas... I have an outboard in my case, but the stand should be similar for the lower unit. What do you have or what have you built? Let's share! |

If you do a search for previous posts you might come across some info. One of the stands that others have used/suggested is fro Stumpy's: https://www.stumpysfabworks.com/boat-outdrive-jack.html Looks like a pretty reasonably priced stand. IIRC, others have used a stand from Harbor Freight as a starting point. Others will likely chime in with ideas, Good luck!! Erik |

Mine's out in the shed, found this picture with a quick search. Take a 2'x8'x8 and cut it into 2' sections. Leave a 3/4" gap in between two of them, and make an H shape. Put it on casters and there you go. Cheap but works great. ![]() |
