Did you check the stringers that the engine is bolted to? If they're rotten, and they likely are, the engine will flex under load and allow water in.

Get a socket and go over every engine mounting bolt that attaches to the hull and try to tighten them as hard as you can. If they move at all you're likely looking at a stringer job, and probably floor, as well.

Yes, I checked the stringers and they were fine. I tapped them with ball pin hammer, all sounded solid. I also drilled some 1/2 core sample holes so I could see the shavings and feel inside. All dry wood, Also, entire bottom of this boat around stringers etc, is filled with foam to prevent rot and keep it afloat. Sure hope I didn't do all this work and miss the stringers but Yea, I did check and they appeared dry and strong. I drilled holes from the top as well as from the bottom on side both were solid. refilled holes with epoxy afterward. Could it be the outdrive/transom bolts not tight enough? gonna check the torque on those tomorrow
