There are threads like this on the car forums I frequent, and I didn't see one here so I figured i'd start one.

I switched from the nicked stainless-steel prop back to the factory aluminum prop. I noticed smoother running at lower RPM (the prop nut was loose on the stainless prop, so good thing i checked.) Upper mid-max RPM the boat definitely didn't have the bite that the stainless did. 30 and under felt about the same, if not better with the aluminum (maybe because it's lighter than the stainless?) The aluminum is also about 3-4mph slower on the top end. I struggled to hit 52, whereas with the stainless I could get up to 56-57 MPH on the GPS at 5000 RPMs pretty easily.

I'll probably just leave it until next season since I don't go WOT much anyway on this thing.

What's the purpose of this? First I've heard of it.

put the finishing touches on my Q-Jet to Holley 4160 conversion (wiring electric choke via a relay triggered by the alternator so it gets current only when the engine is running)….

Replaced the port engine belt tensioner and engine idle pulley. My starboard tensioner failed earlier in the season shredding my serpentine belt while heading out to Block Island. I also replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires.

Going to replace the trailer taillamp that some moron backed into while my truck was parked at the boat launch.

If it happens again, I'm putting a trailcam in the back of my truck and sending the hit and run loser the bill, plus interest.

I was having trouble with the dry rotted carpet backing making a horrible mess. A couple cans of Flex Seal and I am no longer in the market for new carpets!

Hmmmm.... flex seal huh... how did you get the old material off without tearing up carpet? Did ya use spray or brush on and how much did it take? I need to do same and saving money is a must. Carpet is five but the backing is in terrible shape

I used elastomeric roof coating last year on the back of mine...just rolled it on.

Gallon size will be more than enough.

Thanks...thats perfect but what did you do to prep the carpet backing? Just wire brush the old backing off? Did you do anything to prevent the roll on from bleeding thru or was it thick enough to make that a non issue?
