I really want a 268 Vista but the selection in the Pacific Northwest is slim to none. Anyone out there have any experience or idea on what it would cost me to have a boat (and trailer) shipped from Michigan (good selection) to Vancouver, BC?

If you order a boat to your spec Fourwinns whould deliver it to your local dealer for standard trans cost....

You can place a request for shipping quotes, but make sure that you make it clear that you are only looking for a general idea of what it may cost for this given example. ..... not that you have an actual shipment ready to go.

I quoted a Rinker 270 (a bit heavier and longer than a 268V and 9'2" wide) from California to New Hampshire and got a couple quote sin the $3000 range. This is with the boat on its own trailer.

I had the best vibes and a fair and realistic quote from this hauler:

At the end of your post you mentioned having "a good vibe and realistic quote" from a certain hauler, but the image didn't display. Can you re-post who that was?

I checked out the uShip website for a quote and used Grand Haven, Mich. as the point of origin and Blaine, Wash. as the destination. The quote came in at $2500 which is more than reasonable. The only thing I am uncertain about is the people doing the transporting. Has anyone out there actually used uShip before? If so, how was the experience?

I also contacted another company who got back to me and said they could transport for me, and as long as fuel was $5.00 per gallon, it would be $3.00 per loaded mile. 2338 miles (based on Google maps) equals $7014 for transportation. A $50000 boat, plus $6000 tax for the Canadian Gov't., and $7000 for transportation; this scenerio is adding up.

It's U-Saveboattransport.com I talked back and forth with him quite a bit. I would have definitely used them if I had ended up doing a long distance purchase, and decided not to go and get it myself.

I shipped my new H240 from New Hampshire to Seattle with uShip. The shipper I used was Nautibuoy Marine. They weren't the fastest or the cheapest, but I did have a good experience from them.

My shipping was just over 3000 miles and cost me 2600 (minus 100 for a uShip rebate for first timers).

When you use uShip... you post an auction and let people bid. I would think that you could ship a 268 from Michigan to Blaine for around $2500-$3000. With gas prices what they are - you have to expect some added cost.
