All you loyal patrons of the forum check-in so we know you are all safe after this wonderful Memorial weekend 2008. Report your experiences (weather, new escape discovered?, oddities :o  :? :x    etc...) As most of you are aware, us Canucks had a horrible long weekend :( and we need to "live" a good one through all our friends here on the board.

P.S. Because of all the rain we've had lately, I had to spend the weekend doing yard work and my boat is still sitting on the trailer with the interior apart! Maybe this week I willl try and get it back together if work allows.

I'm with ya MNG. Over here in NS it was sunny with a little bit of cloud  but the temps are still not there . . . yet. Took the oppertunity to get the yard in order & mowed (4 hrs to mow the stupid thing with a tractor ). There were a few brave souls bundled up and on the water waving as they went by. Mine is still in the warehouse at my office awaiting the new stereo and prep for the season.
Think I will take the next couple of weeks to do that and replace the existing dock with something more apropriate for its size - the old one is falling apart anyway.

Memorial weekend? Maybe by July 4 weekend we will be out. Air temp near our cottage today is 47 degrees, and the water temp is 39 degrees. A few years ago the wife and I had our winter jackets and gloves during a Memorial weekend. No boating during Memorial day weekend till we get the boat moved down to our home in Southwest Florida!

We managed to make it out for a short ride and raft-up at our favorite spot on Saturday. Cool winds though, and a "balmy" 51 degree water meant no dip in the lake!

At least the boat is at the marina now....

75 and sunny in Minnesota, ready to take the new H200 out, but the wife wanted me move 40 yards of mulch to the back yard. Got it done on saturday, but too darn sore to even move on Sunday. Hopefully I can get on the water later in the week (if I can lift my arms by then).

I went to Lake Mohave, AZ. last Sunday to find 116 degree weather. Monday's temperture reached 118 degrees with water about 68 degrees. Wednesday saw a cooling trend with temperature only 105 degrees. By the time Friday came and it was time to pack it in, I was cleaning the boat in 75 degree weather with rain in the forecast. (Perfect boat cleaning weather) I had a wonderfull time without incident. Put another 6 hours on the engine. Getting home Friday afternoon and avoiding the holiday movement was also a big plus.

Four days in Mystic CT. Weather was windy, but good. Lots of food, freinds, drinking and dinking. Just finally got everything unpacked and now I am settled in. It is gonna be a long season for us this season. We have a lot of trips planned. There also may be an upgrade in vessels this year. Will keep you all posted on that.

Sunny and 80's/90s two day, rainy and 75 yesterday. Still snuck in some bad wakeboarding and a good cruise in around the rain, though.

Thank god Txjole2 redeemed the weekend for us all though. :D

I fit one day at the lake in. Spent the rest of my time moving :x

I will have pix hopefully tomorrow. My little local lake has finally started party boating! In the past there were little groups of boats spread apart in clusters. This weekend was the first time I saw rafts over 10 boats strong.
