For those of us who don't trailer on a regular basis, we are slaves to the price at the pump on the water. My marnia is the only gas on the lake and is charging $4.38 for 87 Octane. Going price on land is $3.99 - $4.10. |

5 bucks + here in Seattle. You folks are lucky. That's when gas was 3.50 a gallon. Gas is now 4.20 here... so marina gas is probably now 5.25 or so. |

No petrol at my marina, all filling up via jerry cans for me, the equivalent of $2.30 per litre from petrol stations in the UK. Graham |

I paid 4.17 per gallon this past weekend. I have several 5 gallon gas cans that I fill up and put that into the boat. Then I get 25 cents per gallon back from the state as well. The marina was 4.89 this weekend. We are not supposed to do what I am doing, but oh well. The cans I use are safe, I do not spill any and am safe about filling up. I do it after dark so as not to raise any brows. In this day and age, you have to do what ever you can to still make it affordable. |

The only Marina allowed to sell gas on the lakes I'm on only sells premium. I'm afraid to go look and see their pricing. I mostly do the same thing that 248 Vista does, haul the red cans (I have three of them). So far, I filled two at $3.75/G before Memorial day, 3 at $3.89 Memorial day weekend, and 3 more at $3.94 last weekend that are still in cans. Every year, I swear that I'm going to look into buying a 300G above ground tank and get a truck out to fill it before Memorial day. Might just cover half my summertime gas usage and protect me somewhat from regular summer price increases. [Rant] I'm way tired of the gasoline in the large tanks at the gas stations is going up in price overnight because the future's price of oil increased the night before. It goes up so fast, so often these days, that nearly every gas station has a digital sign so they don't have to climb a ladder to change the numbers on a daily - or is it hourly? - basis. We all know that 'more expensive' oil won't see our coast line, and certainly not our refinery facilities for 3 - 6 months, let alone be delivered as gasoline to the gas stations. So the gas we are buying now cost much less to produce. Guess it makes sense why oil companies' profits are through the roof. Can someone explain to me why we are paying next year's prices now? What, we buy gas at replacement cost? Gee, I sure hope that gas prices drop as quickly when the future price of oil falls. No wait, it can't, because the gas 'in stream' cost more to produce. Sure would be nice to be on their side of these transactions. Funny it doesn't work this way with corn, soybean, or pork bellies. [/Rant] |

Unleaded fuel at the nearest marina to sell fuell on Sydney Harbour is $2.09AU per litre($1.99 US) I buy in plastic and take it to my marina as its easier than travelling 9 ks to get it, for $1.42 US/litre = $5.36US per USgallon |
