New guy here. I love the site. So much better than trying to read messages on the Yahoo boards. As soon as I figure out how to login for a photo upload I will post a pic.

Hi !
Very nice forum ! Good job ! :D . Will try to post some pics soon . We are in Clinton CT for now , on CT River for last 3 seasons . We like our Four Winns V288 . Till this spring we had 205 Sundowner - some issues but we liked it also . We're still getting used to the new one , bit intimidating , but really nice boat ! To bad season is near the end...
Have a nice day !
Rich

My second post here. Thanks for making this site.

I'm a forum moderator over at checkmate-boats.com (I've owned a few Checkmates and Hydrostreams) but my current boat is a 2003 Freedom 180 with a BRP Johnson 150 XL I bought new for my wife July of 2005. She loves to tube, and the Freedom OB came with a nice big windshield, bimini top, hydraulic steering, incredible hole-shot, etc. to make my hours of pulling tubes so much nicer. My 'hot boats' were great fun at 70+ mph, but would wear out my arms and ears! I had a 19' Glastron SX 195 with the 4.3 I/O, but I had to go back to outboard power. Can't beat the interior room of an ouboard powered boat!! Or the hole-shot.

Anyway, nice to be here. Now I have somewhere to talk Four Winns after I get bored of the checkmate and the screamandfly sites. :D

Hello all, JW sent me a link to this site earlier today, so I thought I would join up also.

Hi JW and Coop, it's Bruce from the CheckMate Board, I sold my Pulse 170 earlier in the summer to a buddy of Chris E. I found a Unlimited 17 in Muskegon which I went and purchased. As I've said before, it's not a CheckMate but it's a blast to drive.

If you are interested, there are a few pictures of it in the gallery

Take Care

Bruce

My Four Winns dealer used to sell the U17 and U19 boats. I was hoping that short experiment would usher in a new era of performance boats for Four Winns, unfortunately it did not. I stopped in yesterday and chatted with the owner for a little while, and he showed me the new SS models. Too bad SS stands for Signature Series instead of Super Sport :P

Awesome web site! Will the responsible person(s) please stand up and take a bow?

As a new FW boat owner, this site is invaluable. I've already learned a ton in just a few hours spent here.[/url]
