heh ....
In Brad's "New to boating" thread, on his project Horizon, there was a link to an older thread from Big Boat Bay Buster's older Horizon and his engine swap.
His use of the Four Winns specialized engine hoist (shown below) reminded me of our need for specialized automotive tools, occasionally.

So, one night I pull into the drive, after a long day of work, and am greeted with this scene. Can you find the "special Honda factory tool"?

The BMW engine hoist?

Based on my experience with two Hondas, anything in your garage might be pressed into service as a "Honda special tool" ;) .

You could have only screamed "Redneck" louder if you were using an old Dodge instead. What's the last thing a redneck ever says?... "Hey y'all, watch this...."

If so, wouldn't the engine just float?

This is the most ridiculous, inept, unsafe mechanical opperation I have seen. (Nylon truck tire use for engine retrevial) Looks like a side project at a meth lab.

Umm .... yeah ... they got a good reaming for that one (that was son #2 and a buddy .... both UTI grads ... and working at the BMW dealership).

Good thing it wasn't a BBC (Big Block Chevy) ....
