Anyone else here counting the seconds until you leave for the extended weekend? A co-worker and boating buddy left this morning for the lake. I am meeting him out there tomorrow night, but its seems like forever until then... Should be a good weekend with no wind, the temp in the low 90's and the water temp about 75*

50% chance at the lake I'm heading to Friday.
Prob. mow the yard & head out 2 stepping tomorrow night, then off to the lake Fri. morning.

My phone has been getting texts all day from non-boating buddies. You know the kind.....

"Lake this weekend?"

"Going out on 4th?"

My favorite one today:
"let me no if u r hurtin 4 passengers :)"

Funny, did any of them say, "hey I happen to have $100 in fuel money left over and wanted to know if you were interested."

Not you either?

Rolling out of work in 1 hour but we're not headed to the lake until the morning. Unfortunately, a terrible forecast all weekend.

So here is the TXT conversation I just had:

Friend: "Bro whats the plan tomorrow"

Me: "Taking the boat out"

Friend: "Cool count me, and 3 others in"

Me: "Cool, meet me at the 7-11 by my house and we can fill the boat up...it was 125 to top it off last time. Should only be about $30 a person"

No response from them yet...that was a couple hours ago. Im not even putting gas in the boat tomnorrow, just wanted to get a reaction out of him.

Wow. Might be he got caught up with something in the meantime; but I would consider $30 a (not for - nip that one in the bud :) ) head a bargain all day every day to roll 'till she's dry again. Thats like a burger and a beer where I'm from.
Could have saved myself a bundle and just hung out with you . . .

Well, plan WAS as folows:

Tonight - fireworks at Alton Bay, then over to Weirs Beach for fireworks at midnight.

then

Friday - Fireworks in Meredith Bay

And

Saturday - Fireworks in Wolfeboro Harbor

However, weather forcast looks crappy, Alton has already cancelled ..... even though it is sunny and nice, here in Portsmouth, on the coast.

We'll see......

Nice! I got a good group of friends, rarely do I have to mention something about fuel money, everyone always pitches in. I ran into these girls from highschool at tahoe last year, they were just chillin on the beach thinking of renting a jet ski, $135/hr, or $75/1/2 hr. and I told them we got room just jump on the boat, we cruised around for about 2.5 hours did some wakeboarding (they tried) and they gave me $80. I wasnt going to ask them pitch in at all, cuz everyone else on the boat that day gave $25 for fuel. $30 for a day on the lake is pretty darned cheap.
Back to subject at hand, I have to work a full day and cant leave until in the a.m. Oh side note, does anyone know what size the bearing buddy bras are? The little rubber piece on the wheel bearings. I had one rip last trip out, and my storage is on the other side of town.
