My trim switch (VOLVO) is sticking on again. Not going back to center position. I had same problem a couple years ago and replaced switch. Don't really use the boat that much seems switch should last longer. I was wondering if any body else has had problems with Volvo trim switches? Obviously I need to replace switch again. I was thinking about putting 2 Indicator lights next to trim gauge to show up-down when trimming to make sure power goes off when switch is released. Has anyone done anything similar to this?
Thanks, Rob

might try cleaning it with contact cleaner and then blow out with compressed air. Sometimes you can replace parts in those controls, is it a Teleflex unit?

LouC, Cleaning is a good idea. Next time I'm in boat I was going to take apart and check it out. As far as Teleflex not sure what you mean. I assume you mean manufacturer. The control handle is OEM Volvo. I replaced just the thumb trim switch a couple years ago with OEM Volvo part. Whats what sticking again.

To follow up on LouC's reply, while Volvo might have a part number for the trim switch, many of these throttle quadrants are made by Teleflex. You might be able to find a Teleflex number. The Four Winns Pars Catalog will occasionally include a part number in the part description that relates to the actual manufacturer of the part.
