I had to help out a fellow boater today. He lost his lower unit and his family needed a tow. I have towed before, but not with my funship that I just purchased this spring. What method would you use? Ski pylon or the ski ring? I went about 3 miles per hour and nursed the thing back to his dock. What would you do? |

I have 224FS where do I put the sky pylon? I always use the ski ring but wish I could use a pylon just to get the rope up a bit more. When pulling a tube the rope hangs down inyo the water. Can I put a sky pylon some where that I am missing? |

My ski pylon locks into a bracket located in the center of the swim platform. |

I have used my ski eye to toe several vessels this year. They were a 19 foot peterborough, a 245 vista and a 38 foot donzi that had run out of gas after the poker run. I use lots of rope and go gently until there is tension on the rope and then I just give it a little more throttle to keep us moving. I haven't had any problem yet. I'm sure you could use the ski pylon also. Just be gentle for both boats sake. |
