I sold my 2011 SL242 this year. Boat prices were just too insane not too. I'll sit it out until next year. Needs have changed, kids want to wakeboard and wake surf, so we will pick up a Nautique GS22. Thanks for all the camaraderie

The first guy who came to see it bought it. I took great care of it, full service records etc. Only thing is a new nautique is about 3 times what I paid for my four winns

ski boats are crazy expensive. My next one will be salt water/fishing oriented, becasue I don't want to continue to maintain inboard/outboards here in salt water. Even so, probably have to wait for next year. Either that, or re-power the old F/W when the old 4.3 finally gives up the ghost. I did a top end overhaul on it 4 years ago with remanufactured heads, new exhaust, I rebuilt the Quadrajet 4bbl and a new mechanical fuel pump. Total parts cost was less than $2000 + my labor. A fun project overall. A re-power is approx 1/10th the cost of a a new boat!

In the time, skill and money equation, two of those are often in short supply for those of us who aren't Lou :) I'll look at new if the used prices don't stabilize next summer. Its a gamble, because if I can't find a good used boat for a good price, Im pretty sure I'll be boatless next summer and have to wait to order new for 2023
