We've been following this on TV all night. Sounds like the entire region is without power and I just saw a report that said the entire I-45 freeway just north of Galveston is littered with yachts. One diesel engine was still running. Boats picked up and dropped down onto the freeway. http://www.khou.com http://www.chron.com

I found this one photo of a bunch of trailered boats dumped onto the highway. Saw the video of the yachts, but no photos uploaded yet.

Sounds like they'll be picking up the pieces for a long time to come. Not good at all. I lucked out with Rita a few years back, then we moved to San Antonio. And I was ticked off for dinging my propeller last weekend.

I've driven that stretch of I-45. Very strange to see it like that.
