I was there yesterday and it was still the old format...Must have flipped sometime over night. No V408 or SL282 listed yet. Maybe they will issue them later after some official releases. This site is better than most boat manufacturers and I have learned to navigate it pretty well. Not really sure what they could improve on though.

I see the smallest Vista is the 258. Was everyone aware that the 248 was going away?

I notice the H180 went up in weight to 2,235lbs. I wonder what has changed.

They stopped making my boat in '05, and from what I heard '08 was the last year for the 215. I'm suprised to see it lives on in '09.

I thought that FW were stopping production of the smaller boats due to the downturn in the economy, yet I see the 09 H180. Anyone make sense of this ?? :?: I was nervous back in July as I had just ordered a H180 .Speaking of H180's "my new boat arrives in November!!!!

I dont like the new florentine interior. The flexi teak carpet looks great though.

I have heard talk from ardy and others on the site about stopping production of the smaller Four Winns because of the economy and other reason in some posts and I can tell you there are no such crazy plans. The 180 and 190 are most dealer's most popular selling boat and with talking with the factory and my sales representative he says they are trying to sell even more of the smaller boats, not slow or stop production. These are the models and sizes that most people start off with, you don't want to make them go to another brand of boat to buy their first boat. You will see that for 2009 the H180 and H190 are a nicer, more refined boat. Standard CCB, Upgraded Steering Wheel standard, Stainless grab handles and rubrail insert, color seat accents inside the boat and a standard subwoofer mounted under the passenger dash on both boats. These are all nice touches to the smaller boats without much of a price increase which will make these boats just awesome to sell/buy at boatshows this year. Also, you won't see anything on the website for a while about the new 30 or 40 foot cruiser or the new SL282. These are still in the design/testing phase at the engineering plant and until they go into production the factory does not usually post information...

High profit in the small boats too.

While I cannot lay my hands on a reference at the moment, the production changes/cutbacks/stoppages were announced in a Four Winns press release. Do you have inside information to the contrary?

If I remember right, it was just temporary to allow orders to build up, to keep everyone busy when they resumed production.

I am not surprised to see the 180 and 190 back, as I had also understood the stoppage was a temporary one while current stock was depleted and new orders generated.

One thing I do find interesting though is that the "new" 150hp F.I. 3.0 is not offered in the 180. I would have thought that would be an attractive option, even if the customer is stuck having to have a CAT.

I too remember the post as reading that production of the small boats had been temporarily put on hold to allow the orders to build and that would keep the factory busier.

Here's the thread that this was brought up in.
