Just curious about what the going rate is for slip rentals in different areas.

We're exploring having someplace to dock next year, and the first price we got was $2,000 for next season (WI). Needless to say, I'm on a pretty decent sized waiting list, but am continuing to see what other options I have.

This is a slip only that's on a 2,000 acre inland lake, but only 10 minutes from my house.

I'm in a marina outside Dallas in a covered slip with a 6000 lb lift - total rent is $575 a month, and it's a 12 month commitment. The lake is around 30,000 acres. Ouch. I'm in the wrong business.

I pay $150 per foot for a covered slip on the Potomac south of DC.

We pay $1950 for a 30' slip with electric, and water. No waiting lists on this side of the pond, marinas' are offering discounts for next season if you sign up early. I have seen 30' slips for as low as $900 per season. Our season is April 15th thru October 15th.

What lake are they screwing you on???

I'm on Hubbard in a 24' slip on the prime dock ( open to the south breeze, and view of the largest open part of the lake) and mine is $1700.00 a year (pay up front get one month free). Granted I bought my own lift. Before that I was on Lewisville at Pier 121 for 240 a month.

I'm at Eagle Point. The slip is $375 a month, the lift is $200 a month. I won't stay there past next March if I can find a place to buy somewhere.

I agree - I'm getting screwed. But Grapevine was no better. I'm only 15 minutes away, so I'm paying for the convenience for sure.

Wow. Here in central Indiana it is 900 for an uncovered 24' slip at a lake 3 hours away, or 3000 for a covered 24' slip at a lake an hour and a half away from me in Indianapolis. Those are for the season, 4/15 to 10/15. I'd love to have Capn Morgans slip rates

On Bass River in Yarmouth, MA your looking at $185 a foot with a $4000.00 minumum charge for dockage from May 1 to Oct 31. This is why having a H180 is great right now because i can tow it but once i get a cruise I may have to pay this rediculous price.

I'm on the Niagara River and paid $540 this year at a State Park. That includes water and electric. Don't really need it with a 19 ft. The private marinas charge a little more

$875 uncovered with no electric. I do have full use of the pool and events at the RV Resort. I'm on the Hardy Dam Pond of the Muskegon River north of Grand Rapids, MI.

This past year in Ludington we paid $2500, with pool and hot tub use.

WOW!
Here in Northern Virginia on the Potomac River we are paying $3800 for a 40' slip that includes water. Electric is billed separately. The facilities include, trash disposal, bathrooms and a cookout area. Nothing more. I have not heard of any discounts for next year as of yet.

Seattle averages anywhere from 250/month for a 25 foot slip, to 300 for a 30 foot, to 400 for a 40 foot slip.

Sometimes you can score a month-to-month contract, but mostly it's 12 month commitments.
