Next was that stupid faucet. I hate that thing. Every time you turn it on the water ran to the back of the counter. I purchased a nice faucet from Ebay again for I think 35.00 or so.I removed the fridge. Easily done by removing the four screws in the face of it. Pull it out and thats it. Next I removed the old retaining nut from the old faucet. Removed the water supply line and the took the crappy one out and threw it away. I placed the new faucet in the opening and installed the retaining nut and supply lines. Install the fridge and that is it. This project cost about 35.00 and took all of maybe 1 hour. The old one ![]() fridge removed ![]() Underside of faucet ![]() The new faucet ![]() One other small thing I did was in the cabinet in the galley. There just is not enough room anywhere for storage. Having one cabinet for plates, bowls, cups and stuff just isnt enough. The original cabinet was just a big open spot. Everything ended up pilled in there. I bought some shelving and adjustable brackets and installed them. What a difference. Plates on one, cups on another and bowls and stuff on another. ![]() ![]() I hope this helps some of you with questions you may have. Sorry that I dont have more pictures, but sometimes it is hard to stop and take a pic while you are working away |

Should be very easy. Just pull out the fridge and i think there were a few retainers under the counter. That should be about it |

Nice job! For anyone consider a new faucet, don't overlook the benefits of getting one with a hose for the main spout. Very convenient for cleaning up stuff. When I had the fridge out on the 348 I noticed the cooktop is indeed just held down from below by a few clips around the outside edges. Looks like a pretty simple thing to remove. I don't know how they seal to the counter. But I'd want to be sure to use a fresh bead of caulk or gasket. No sense in having anything leak under it and wreck stuff below. |
