The Energy Information Administration, which provides official energy statistics from the U.S. government, recently issued a report indicating that gasoline and diesel prices probably won’t rise much above their current levels for the remainder of 2009.
“Economic contraction in 2009 and lower projected crude oil prices are expected to reduce annual average retail gasoline and diesel fuel prices in 2009 to $1.87 and $2.27 per gallon, respectively,” the EIA said this week.

Well, I won't argue with going back to the fuel costs that we had when we were running the 245 Sundowner.........

Great news, I might be able to get out of the North East River now.

What do we have, about 3 or 4 more months?

So happy gas is down this year. Hope it stays this way. I mean $70.00 to fill my boat sure beats $120.00. I fill mine 2-3 times a month during the season depending on weather and what a difference that will make!! Means more BEER money this summer!!!

Not sure which made me laugh more the banana or the frog. Much needed when the thermometer reads -10.

Like everyone else, I hope gas stays at more reasonable levels than than last year. We would probably explore more lakes rather than ones 15 minutes from home.

That will be great especially if Diesel comes down that much.

I don't see gas getting that high this summer, at least I hope, its nice not having to get a c-note out to fill the truck. A couple of things I have noticed recently because I watch the price of crude pretty close, is the dollar is getting stronger, probably due to the fact other countries economies are also in turmoil, usually when the dollar gains crude falls. I keep reading reports that demand for crude is down and supply is up. I beleive as long as investors don't flood the crude market price will stay down. I don't think we will see $140 a barrel for a long time.

I hope prices stay low.

I paid 6 bucks a gallon on the lake last summer. At the time, my tank was 55 gallons.

I just put in 170 gallons in the 318 at 2.20 a gallon (not on the water). I realize, that's the cheapest gas the boat will ever see. But man - I hope to god it doesn't hit anywhere near 5 bucks a gallon - let alone 6.

Crazy.

It's great to see global demand shrinking though.
