What magazines do you read or subscirbe to?

I used to get Go Boating which was quite good to read but they "morphed" into Motor Boating which IMHO is not quite as good.

Trailer Boats is always interesting...but I wish there were more boating mags to chose from.

I've dropped them all. It's just a bunch of advertising and uh, "reviews." I'd rather spend the money on other things.

I read Trailer Boat. Mostly all reviews and second hand boats for sale. Not the best magazine but there is nothing else other than the magazine with the big cruisers in it.

Since I am in the marine industry, we subscribe to most of the magazines at work. I do read through them when I have time at lunch or take them home. Here is a list.

Boating Business
Motor Boating
Sea
Boat & Motor dealer
Showboat International
Super Yacht Business
Trade Only Today
Marine Business Journal
Yachting
Southern Boating
Boating World
Power & Motoryacht
Trailer Boats
Great Lakes Boating
Boating Life
Go Boating
Lakeland Boating
Powerboat Magazine
IBI
Boating Industry
Soundings (Newspaper)
I also have several online magazines I subscribe to, and get
regular newsletters and info from them.

Check out the "models" in Boating magazine .
http://www.boatingmag.com/
One of my favorites

Trailer Boat and also Boating Life (which I think is a free magazine).

They are both just full of ads and reviews, which are just marketing tools. Its ok though...I love boats and its fun to read them. Once in a great while I get a worthwhile tip out of them.

I subscribe to Boating, but the mag has gotten smaller in the last couple of years ... a bit more fluffy, less tech, good articles and recreational stories/articles.

I also read:

Northeast Boating (used to be Offshore), good for trip planning, they have articles on different Northeast ports-of-call.

Soundings, but not every issue.

I have free subscriptions (show specials, etc.) to:

MotorBoating (occasional good info)

Boating World (pretty fluffy)

Power & Motoryacht (our 268 would make a nice dinghy on the subject "boats")

I remember when I was younger, I would look through my grandad's MotorBoating & Sailing Magazines (now called just MotorBoating) and dream about living on the boats, even going so far as picking out where everyone in our family would sleep, eat, etc... What am I talking about, I still do that now!

MotorBoating
Power & Motoryacht
Yachting

Lakeland Boating is pretty good for us midwesterners.

Boating
Trailer Boats
Power & Motoryacht
Boating Life
Lakeland Boating
US Boat

Between all of the boating, snowmobile, and motorcycle magazines I get, I don't run out of reading material for the library.

I read Boating, Boating Life, and Trailer Boats when I can find it at the book store. I like the stories about boating destinations, reviews, and new products.

Anybody wanna buy Boating ????

Boating magazine up for sale

According to AdAge.com,Boating magazine is for sale. The website reported that the magazine is being sold with other enthusiast titles owned by Hachette Filipacchi Media US, a subsidiary of the French company.

Boating has a circulation of 175,000, making it the world's largest subscriber-based boating magazine. Like other US boating magazines, Boating has seen its ad revenues decline steadily over the last two quarters. Ad pages from January through the April issues fell 48.7 per cent compared to the previous year.

I look forward to Trailer Boats. It is the only one I actually pay for. I don't care to read about huge yachts I have no interest in buying.
If you want to get a lot of free boating magazines fill out a survey that says you are planning on buying a new boat in the next 6 months. I did that a couple of times 2 years ago when I was in the market and I am still getting several boating magazines at no charge.

I've been taking note of the shrinking size. This most current issue is more like a brochure!
