Ok, it was 60 degrees here in Indiana today and I can't get boating off of my mind. Sooooooo..... I figured I would start a thread for your best boating pictures. Anything goes. Any pictures you have of your marina's, good times, unusual pictures, anything. This is my crack and I need help here. I am starting to shake.

Hey Woggy! How often do you make it out to the Chicago area for boating? I have some friends out there and they say nothin' beats the Chicago Skyline from the lake during the hot summers out there!

Great pics from both you and JSimon!

Can summer come sooner???

These pics are great. Don't worry about hogging the thread. I can't believe that guy has a stripper pole on his boat. That's the craziest thing I have ever seen. As far as Chicago, it's a lot of fun. We used to go there about once or twice a year. It is pretty cool to see the skyline from the water. It's definately a unique look at the city. We always spend at least a weekend there. My wife and I are Cubs fans so we will rent a slip at Belmont Harbor which is right at the end of Addison Ave. (Wrigley Field is at the corner on Addison and Clark, about 6 blocks from the marina). It's a blast. We will get there Friday night, walk from the Marina to find some Chicago Style Pizza, and then wake up, booze a little, and then go to Wrigleyville. After the game, we come back to the boat and go out on the water. Then we hit the Chicago river around sundown and there used to be a Dick's Last Resort right there on the water that we could dock at. Have dinner and listen to live music, and then after dinner, they light off fireworks from Navy Pier. So we head out away from shore and watch the fireworks from the water with the skyline in the background. It's pretty cool.

The other thing about boating in Chicago is going to the "Playpin". This is a area just North of Navy Pier that is surrounded by breakwalls. Sort of like Chicago's party cove and it does get crazy. I saw to people doing the hippity dippity just 50 ft from us on the bow of their boat. It's pretty wild.

We will be cruising to Chicago a lot more this coming summer because we will be keeping our boat on Lake Michigan at Michigan City. It's about a 30 mile cruise over to Chicago so it's not aweful. But I guess a lot of that depends on what gas prices do this summer.
