That's an awesome treat!

The admiral and I will be spending our first night on the 318 in her slip in downtown Seattle....

What else does everyone have planned?

This is a great thread-starter.

Hey Nolv4v8

Not sure exactly, but it will be downtown. I wanted to stay at MGM, but 300.00 bucks for a night.... Decieded to do the Marriot instead at half that. So we will see what the dining is like there, do you have a suggestion?

Grab lunch at Cobo Joe's. Try the Cobo Joe Burger with a side of mushrooms. It's a short walk from the show.

Dinner at Andiamo on the riverfront in the Ren Center. Awesome Italian food.
My favorite dinner there is FARFALLE CON BOCCONCINI DI POLLO
(Chicken tenderloins tossed with bowtie pasta, onions, wild mushrooms, cannellini beans, spinach, tomato filet and topped with asiago cheese.)
Their veal dishes there are superb, but range from $25 to $45 per plate.
Nice view of the river, and a nice place for a special dinner.

That's my suggestions. Have fun !

After 20 yrs of wedded bliss...spending the evening away from the kids, and having a quiet dinner at our favorite small Greek restaurant...

Then the next day...back to reality and getting ready for boating season!

Cougar...I love your plans too!!

Jeff -

I lived downtown for 4 years until recently when I moved to Royal Oak. Two of my favorite places to eat downtown are Vicentes and Union Street.

Vicente's - which is Cuban Food, fairly pricey, but the tresleche cake(spellcheck) is amazing. I recommend doing the Tapas for dinner, and order 5-8 different things.

http://www.vicente.us./

Also for a more reasonable budget, Union Street - which is american food, awesome and unique pastas and just good food. I highly recommend their calamari, which next to Jack's in St.Clair Shores is the best in town IMO.

As recommended above Andiamo's Riverfront is excellent as well, I would make a reservation now if you plan on going, and plan to dress a bit nicer than you would for any of the above. But their filet mingnon with their famous Zip sauce is by far the best on the menu. Worth every penny. If you are staying in the Marriott this is in the RenCen as well, making it an easy commute.

Hope this helps, if you need any other thoughts let me know!

My wife got two dozen roses and chocolates delievered to her at work today. I used proflowers, and am amazed at the quality of the flowers. She did unwrap them completely until she got home, and thats when she realized she had two dozen roses.

Bonus points....she works with her mom and best friend!

And to top it off, they were cheaper than using a local florist or the like, and better quality to.

I used the code "hannity" in the radio/tv box, to get an ever better deal.
