I want to take a photo of my boat and make it my wallpaper on my work computer, but can't seem to get it to fit right. How do I resize it to fit? I need it to be 1024x768 to fit my screen. |

It sounds like you hav a low- res picture to start with. Possibly taken with a low megapixel camera or cell phone. If so, not much you can do but center it and it will be small. What is the image size/resolution of the picture? |

Okay, next step for you is to right click on your photo, click on Properties, then see what it says for size and resolution. |

That should work for wallpaper. Not sure why it looks fuzzy. I would need to see it. Can you post it here? |

I can help you out. Right click on your desktop and the menu that pops up go down to properties next click on the settings tab, and there is a box that says Screen resolution: ex: 1440x900 Send me the photo and your screen resolution to rcamerondesign@gmail.com and I can appropriately crop/scale the photo for you! Let me know! -Rob |

My screen resolution is 1024x768 and I need to keep it that way for actually doing work on my computer. If I go up to 1440x900 everything gets really small. |

I completely understand, i just needed your screen resolution in order to properly scale the photo for your screen. Being that that photo is only 600x450, it is going to be somewhat fuzzy upon stretching to fit. Do you have a higher resolution shot of that photo??? Edit: Upon review of the photo, if you have a better quality shot it should require no cropping to make it properly fit your screen. If you scale by pixels that image it works out proportionally to your screen resolution. |

I only got a chance to take a few pictures before I put it away for the winter. I guess I can wait until I get it out and take some better pictures. |

I need it to be 1024x768 to fit my screen. Howdy, There is an easy install and use program that will resize any picture (and do other editing too.....My 14 year old daughter used it to create my animated Bravo III prop avatar to the left...) Go to http://www.gimp.org Follow the instructions for downloading. (scroll down to the bottom of the page to find your operating system.....Not everybody uses Windows) You can go http://www.gimp.org/about/introduction.html for more info on it It's a lot like Photoshop (except it's free) Regards, Rick |
