Anyone ever see these? This happened across the state here due to the high winds. Ice blows all the way onto shore and into some homes...scary. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I saw that on the news last night. Sad for the homeowners. It is pretty rare that happens, thankfully. |

You folks certainly have some strange weather patterns in the states-- hailstones the size of golf balls-- mounds of ice--Powellcrazy's photos look like he boats on the moon-- ![]() ![]() |

Yeah that is right around Linwood beach, about 10 miles or so north northwest of the mouth of the saginaw river. Amazing!!! |

It's the length of the lake (the fetch) combined with that wind speed that did it. All that wind, blowing across all that water, starts to stack up some pretty nasty conditions. Ice floats and each successive wave floats more on top. Still, that's a wild set of pictures. |
