Post subject:  WTF? Boat Bling gone?

Well, after reading another post last week about cleaning products, I figured I would order some Hot Sauce Spot remover from boatbling.net. I got online, placed the order and when I tried to get to their website today to check the order, it no longer exists. Tried calling them, number no longer in service. Looks like another casuality of the economy? I'll have to keep an eye on the Visa to see if I get charged...

Use 50% Water, 50% White Vinegar in a spray bottle. It will do just as good a job as that Hot Sauce Bling stuff.

This stuff works good also, and it's made for fiberglass/gelcoat. If you want to spend your money that is.....

Combine the above solution with a Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean and your problems are solved

Along the Colorado River (Lake Mohave, Mead, & Havasu), where we do most of our boating, the hard water leaves calcium deposits spots which are difficult to remove. Hot Sauce, Pink Stuff, and Ducky, are preferred by most people.

Once I finsih my $20 bottle of HS, I think I'll give the $3 worth 50/50 white vineger to water in a spray bottle, a try!

Hmmm... Still no go to get to the site. Time for a call to the ISP... :?

Maybe just a DNS issue then.

I may have jumped the gun with the out of business. If I use a proxy I can get to the site. Called Shaw and they're looking into it. And the PH# on the cached google site must have been old too..

I tried the vinigar and water solution and she didn't work. We'll see if this stuff works when she arrives. Just got an email from them saying it has been shipped! 8)

I'm a big fan of their products and have used them for about a year and a half. They were at the LA Boat show in February and I stocked up. Talking with the owner he said business was very good.

I use a similar home fashioned water spot removing recipe. Take any spray bottle, add about an inch of white vinegar, 5 or 6 drops of dishwasher soap, and the rest tap water. It works great and I too boat Lake Mohave.

Nothing a good season out on the water won't cure. :)

It's minus 20 C outside. What else would you have me do? I would be happy running the boat in the driveway right about now, beer in hand behind the wheel... 8)

Bring on the summer...

I agree...bring on summer. I use the 50% vinegar/50% water. Seems to work well as long as you keep up on it.
