Remember the pontoon boat I bought from Ed and Ryan over the winter?

I bit the bullitt and have committed to pick it up this weekend. Earlier this week as I was planning out our weekends for the summer (Mother's day, Long Weekends, Father's Day, Birthdays, Boating events, work events, etc...) Because all our families are located two hours away, we end up travelling quite a bit! (Sucks being the only remote one) I suddenly realized that if I don't go this weekend, I won't be able to pick the boat up for quite some time and that it wouldn't be fair to have them store it forever.

In preparation, I launched the boat in three foot swells and took her to the creek (A very fun ride!). I have assembled a bunch of lumber so I can fabricate some supports atop my bunks and Friday morning I am going to head out for the 8 hour drive. My dad and brother are going to come with me so it should be a fun trip! I am planning on loading the pontoon between 9-10 am Saturday and then touring the docks (maybe a ride in that 310?). After a quick lunch I want to put 4-5 hours behind us so I can get home at a reasonable time on Sunday (and have time to deal with any issues that may arise at the border!)

I'll post some pictures of our little escapade when I get home.

I'm actually staying in Tilton Friday night at the Holiday Inn (75 Tilton Rd). If it doesn't have a complimentray breakfast I will surely look for the diner!

Thanks for the head's up!
