Yesterday was the day. The sun burned through the clouds, no wind, and an afternoon with no plans...we HIT THE LAKE!!!

Boat ran great with no problems. We put in and headed behind our house to float while the kids played. Relaxed with a couple of beers and some music. After that, I fresh tour of the lake to see where the new bridge is going in and a pass by party cove (which is not party cove until Memorial day) to see a few cruisers there. Last year on 4th of July, a 55 Sundancer burned to the water line in party cove. The boat, was known as "Gabes Toy". Well...he is back in action and we followed him a little of the way yesterday. Crossing that big cruiser wake reminded me of the power that boat has. I couldnt get close enough to see if it was another 55, but it looked like it.

It sure felt good to get the boat in the water and was great to finally hear the new stereo system in the water as well.

Here I am, enjoying my first beer of the season on the boat:

Our kids, about to jump in. Water temp is about 72 degrees:

Hey Steve - We finally got the boat wet this weekend also. Launched on friday afternoon and toured some of the same locations as you. Looks like they are in the final stages with the bridge. Party Cove only had about 6 or 7 other boats in it. We ended up back in the Hickory Creek area (where we launch) incase the weather turned nasty, but it all stayed north of us and we had a blast. It was so great to finally get back out there. Here's to another long, fun, safe summer.
