It was another beautiful day so The dog and I took mom for an early mothers day cruise. Lake Billy Chinook, OR. This is a long drive for me as it was 35 minutes instead of 10 to my home lake.

You will see in the video Max was upset we did not bring the fishing poles as the fish jumping all around the boat was driving him nuts. He did great for his first trip out in a boat though.

Man, what a vista. I'd love to have that scenery around here - I guess the trade off is we can boat almost year round, but we have to look at some pretty uninteresting land around the lakes.

I agree. What awesome scenery, the shot of the mountain is great, hard to believe no one else was on the water. Thanks for the pics.

Very Nice!!!

We still have lots of snow around our mt lakes as well, still another 6 weeks before water is warm enough to jump in.

Thanks for all the comments. That is Mt. Jefferson. One of many large snow covered mountains in our area. It was quiet for the most part on the lake. Probably 4o boats on the entire thing. Mostly people fishing with a few wakeboarders. The water is a balmy 57 degrees.

So true. I spent 2 years in Las Vegas and enjoyed the shorts weather year round. I missed seeing green and seasons so I moved back to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

We don't get that kind of scenery in GA.

There is something very odd about seeing boating and snow in the same picture. Beautiful to say the least.

Yeah, just amazing scenery. Thanks for the photo's. There are a few TX lakes with some high cliffs believe it or not, that make for some cool views, but most are not that scenic.

That mountain will have some snow on it all summer. It is still cold though as we are expectig a low tomorrow of 17.
