Only one I know of is in Kimberling City. I can't remember the name now. There's a north-south cove just west of the 13 bridge, on the north side of the channel. It's up that cove a short distance on the right. I actually haven't been there but it always looks like everyone's having fun. |

Where I would recommend is 1 of 2 places, both close by and what 230 Mike was talking about. 1 is the Bearded Clam, the other is Ahoy's. You can find them both online and they are right down from each other alond the same cove. IMHO the Bearded Clam has better food and Ahoy's has better nightlife, band etc...But the Bearded clam added an outside bar and usually have a band on the weekends that is a good time too. Kimberling Marina is about a 7 min ride up the lake and "The Swings" (party cove) is about 10 minutes the other way and around the turn, if you want more specific information I can get it to you. 230 Mike, you wern't at TRL Memorial weekend were you, saw I boat just like yours there. ........where are you staying at Busch? |

Don't forget Big Cedar Lodge. It is over by the dam and has a nice bar downstairs, Buzzard Bar. You can park the boat at the docks and then take a shuttle up to the restaurant. We normally hit it once during the week we're there. This year it will be the last week of July. Ahoys and Bearded Clam are about the only other two. There is a nice little cafe on Indian point just north of the Indian Point Marina and the Ski Shack. Great little breakfast place with huge cinnamon rolls. We normally boat there for breakfast or lunch during the week. |

Thanks, Choices II and 230 Mike. We'll see which one looks to be having the most fun going on and try it. As long as the food is edible I'm fine with it. It'll just be the wife's sister and husband and my wife and I (no kids), so it should be great fun. Spook we'll look for the cafe at I.P. during a morning board/ski run, I guess they'er on the water and have a dock? Troy, Thanks for the opportunity to stay at Big Cedar. Will post pic's when we return! |

Bearded Clam - that's the name I was trying to remember. The reason I've never been there is because we've always got the kids with us. Every time we drive by there I get envious ![]() Choices, unfortunately it wasn't us ![]() |

Try Rocklane lodge also. Just around the point from Indian Point. They have a courtesy dock and bar. Also, their is a new place called Rockwood Resort and they just opened a new public resturant and bar. They are located just one cove North of Rocklane Resort. Try Chateau's Sunday brunch. $25 per person but, it's very good. |

Reminded me of the bars in the small town where I went to college. If you're looking for a place to stop with your family at TR, I wouldn't recommend the place. Beer was cold, however. ![]() |
