Was next in line to retrieve the boat as it was docked @ L/H dock. All of a sudden police show up & takling on radio, then about 4 vehicles W/Corp of engineers who run the lake, get out & start ordering everyone to get away from the dock, leave my vheicle W?keys in it so I can move the boat. They have an injured person comming in. A kid 18-21yr old was in the back of an 17' bow rider being helped by sevearl adults. The ambulance shows uo several fire trucks, another ambulance. They get the kid on a back board take him away fish & game commision boats leave.Let us back to normanl activity @ the ramp. The couple who brought the kid in were right behind us securing their boat after retreival. I didn't want to bother them as they seemed to have had enough from other poeple. A guy came up to me after they left & saw our 2 person Airhead tow-a ble, asked if it was one of htose "flying rafts"? I told him no Mantas are illegal in the states. He said he just saw a kid on something about 3-4' out of the water on a tow-a-ble  . I asked him what had happen to the kid because he was behind the boats that brought him in. His GF said that 2 wake runners hit head on & they're both at the bottom of the lake now! He told me he usually doesn't come on the weekends to fish because it's too crazy. He told 3-4 yrs ago a guy bailed out of HIS boat because a wave runner was gonna hit him & the guy on the WR ended up IN the boat!! We usaully head to No Wake arteries & hang there for that reason. We've been going ther now into our 3rd season. It's a state park & "NO Alcohol" is supposed to be enforced BUT we know it's not!

When I was a kid my parents would drive to "Whites Beach" in NH. We only picnicked there & swam.We didn't own a boat. Is this a boating lake?? The water was great, sand was WHITE & very gradual drop from beach.

Hmm .... I don't know about a "White's Beach", but there is a White Lake ... and there is a nice beach (State Park). It's just up the road from us (RT-16). My wife likes to go there with the grand kids.

I don't think it is a power boating lake.

There's a White's Beach in Maine, but I've never heard of one around here. There are a lot of lakes I've never heard of though.
