Post subject: | Table Rock Lake Trip |
I'm going to Table Rock Lake next weekend and I was hoping someone could give me some suggestions on good places to go to hang out and tie up with other boats. I have been to the swings area, but was curious if there were any other areas I was not aware of. |

Was down there last year and went to Big Cow Cove. Was a good time and would go back to that spot. |

Where will you be staying, how far do you want to go and what type of a crowd are you looking for? |

We are staying down near Branson near Old Hwy 86 Campground. We have two Cabins down there. We have group of 14 and will probably be looking for both some good water to ski part of the day and then a good place to tie up with other people and party (party cove like area) for part of the day. |

By no means am I a TRL expert, but we were told that the things closest to a "party cove" type of deal on that lake were either The Swings or Big Cow Cove. I wouldn't call Big Cow "party cove" but there were some tie-ups with women in thongs that would show their "assets" every so often. Was an otherwise pretty mild "party cove." Never been to The Swings. Maybe Choices can give more info. Jay, where are you from? |

For a party cove type place on that end of the lake I recommend the swings, which you have been to before and I assume remember where they are or as was mentioned Cow Creek (a.k.a. Big Cow Cove....been getting better the last couple years). I don’t remember the point # but it is about between you and the swings. It is marked on most maps. If you can't find it on your map follow Hwy 13 up from Blue Eye, where it turns west w/ 86 imagine it kept going north, that cove is Cow Creek (3rd on the right going east from the bridge). For skiing head south towards Arkansas/Long Creek area. It get's a little narrow but usually quiet and good water there, plus it's a scenic ride. TRL is not known for having a wild party cove like LOTO, we don't roll that way. The lake does have good water, good music and some good parties though. It's better that way IMHO. Have fun, water was about 85 degrees and clear last weekend. |

I'm from Maryville, IL (Saint Louis Area). I am glad to here it being a little tamer than LOTO. I'm more just looking for friendly people having a good time. Thanks for the help. |
