I have never beached our boat and probably wont ever do it. I just wonder how many of you guys do and if you see any scratches as a result. |

I usually anchor bow out and walk the stern in. Honestly, I'd rather have wet feet walking in my boat than sand covered ones. |

wouldn't even consider it without a keel guard. |

My boat was beached many times by previous owner and yes the bottom of my boat is scuffed up. Last weekend I beached the boat a few times and after people getting in and out a few times the boat was covered in sand inside and out. Spent about 4 hours cleaning it when I got it home. I will never do it again and plan on getting the bottom buffed out very soon. |

Just seems like the red hull would be so micro scratched and hazy after being beached it would be a pain to get back to shiny red again. I hadnt even factored in how yucky the inside would be as a result. |

Anchor out, trim up the outdrives, back stern in and then tie up as close as I can. |

I never will beach it unless it is a have to. I will anchor bow out and with the bungee rope I can pull the boat all the way in to get on and off and let it pul me back out to deep water. See pics below for why I am against beaching. I have since fixed it with marine tex and a keel guard. It does not look pretty, but it is functional. Damage from the previous owner. ![]() |

All the shoreline where we boat is at least partially gravel and/or medium to large rock. So, uh, no. |

As a general rule I prefer not to I have a keel guard but I would rather just use the landing I made ![]() |

Nope for all the resons previuosly mentioned, plus the "locals" at the beach are let's say inner city & the city had the highest per capa murder rate 2yrs ago. So it's not the nicest crowd to be around. |
