DuPont 3812S enamel reducer. I once had a scuff mark on a car that I couldn't get off no matter what I tried, including some pretty strong solvents. As it happened, that car had to have some body work done and while it was at the body shop I asked the owner if he had any ideas about the scuff. He brought out a can of this stuff and a rag, and made one wipe across the scuff and it disappeared. I was so amazed I went to an auto body paint shop and bought a gallon of it (probably the smallest size you can get). That was years ago and since then I've used it on several cars and several problem spots. I've never seen anything it didn't work on and I've never seen it cause any damage. |
