Post subject:  Pricing??

So we have been kicking around selling our boat and actually have a couple very interested. Had a sea trial set up for Saturday until I get a call tonight saying they found another one in Indiana for $23,900 with only 35 hours on it. Anyone else find this hard to believe that a dealer would sell a 2007-2008 H200SS with 35 hours for $23,900?? They did say it was at a dealer, but did not specify year not that it matters much. I am thinking its a standard Horizon and not a SS?

Wow nevermind I found it. There is a 2007 H200SS twin to mine for sale with only 23 hours on it in Indiana for $23,900!!! That seems way to cheap to me with those hours!!

Unless you are willing to lower the price, tell them to have a nice trip to Indiana.

Welcome to the economy... all this standing inventory and repo's creates the buyer's market.

It is what it is.

Sounds like a good deal, but makes me wonder why so cheap with only 23 hours? I am still trying to talk them into buying mine. MIne has a few extra to go with that the other doesn't like a spare stainless prop worth $400.00 by itself plus some other stuff I have. Not to mention the don't have to spend who knows how much in gas money to go get it. They are pretty local to me.

23k is right in line with blue book. As for hours anything under 300 is still considered "like new".

I am praying that you can work out a deal and sell your Four Winns.

Good Luck.

I bet what happened is that dealer bought the inventory of another dealer that was going under. He probably got it at a huge discount and can sell it that cheap and still make a little $$$. I was talking to my dealer this week and they bought up a bunch of boats from dealers going tits up, then sold them all at the boat show for rock bottom prices.

Well lucky for me I called the dealer with the boat and it sold yesterday! Not that I dislike our Four Winns or the brand, just hope they buy it. Have my eye on a 25' Baja that I found locally at a grat price.

Maybe "your" buyer put a deposit on that boat and the selling dealer told you it was sold.....just a thought.

Good luck...that price in Indiana does not shock me. LOTS of inventory out there and as was said before lots of defunct dealer inventory.

Highly doubt it as my buyer e-mailed me this morning and said they were waiting for the dealer to call them back. SO I called the dealer right after and they said the boat was gone already. Was picked up yesterday they said.
