Hello all, I plan to move my boat to the river in Cincinnati next year. My wife and I want a change of pace and travel the river. I'm having trouble finding information on marina's in the Cincinnati area's. I know of Rivertowne and have contacted them for pricing. What other marina's are close to the Cincinnati / N. KY area? Any have websites? I'm also interested in hearing what life is like on the river. Are there plenty places to see? Fuel stops? I've tried to do some research but I haven't found a good website that has info on the river. Thanks in advance Kris 248 Vista |

I would look into Four Seasons or Manhattan Harbour. Both on east side of the city. One in Northern KY and one on the Ohio side. http://www.towneprop.com/Recreation/fou ... marina.asp http://www.themanhattanharbour.com/News ... age10.html Both have great night life scenes. Manhattan is under new ownership and apparently got a great makeover and is looking sweet. We just had friends take the largest houseboat (90 feet) off Brookville and move it there. It should be quite the scene for a river boat. Four Seasons has live musica almost every night. The river CAN be a great place to boat around Cincinnati except when the rain mucks it up it just looks awful. Which has been the case most of the year. But it also can be a great time. Although I would never dock my boat here, Ludlow Bromley Yacht Club is THE place to be on Friday nights. They sell more beer at that joint then any other place in Kentucky. Great bands and lots of fun. http://www.myspace.com/lbyc Hope that helps. Oh and don't forget to do the fireworks on labor day weekend. Best day of boating on the river, period. http://rides.webshots.com/album/560783381XnUJcP |

Thanks for the info Cincy, I will check them out. I have spent Labor Day on the river in the past, but in smaller craft. It certainly is an experience that can't be beat. I will be down this year, but only via land. Thanks again, |

I have two more questions for you Cincy........... 1. Is there a water tow service on the river? On Cumberland I have a tow coverage where if I breakdown they will come tow me back to the slip. Is there anything like this on the river? 2. Any chance of finding an overnight slip on the river for labor day? I would love to haul the boat up there for the weekend, but really don't want to deal with pulling out on Sunday night after the show. Thanks in advance. |
